We are seeking a Consultant Ecologist to join our growing team in Naas and work on some engaging projects within a supportive team of technical experts.

Based in our Naas office we deliver a diverse range of projects, including nationally significant infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects, utility refurbishment projects and large DCO development projects.

  • An appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (mentoring and support is available to progress along all stages of membership;

  • Experience in planning and undertaking field surveys including Phase 1 Habitat Assessment surveys; smooth newt, bat and other protected species surveys;

  • Experience of writing or inputting into ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Protected Species Reports, Environmental Impact Assessment Reports.

  • A desire to support and be supported by a team of ecologists and other environmental professionals, to grow our skills and capabilities;

  • Basic knowledge of GIS software would be useful;

  • Full, clean driving licence;

  • The ability to work in a team of ecologists and environmental professionals

  • Knowledge of relevant wildlife legislation and ecological survey methodologies

  • A desire to develop your core ecological and consultancy skills;

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
