WSP USA Coordinator, Ethics and Compliance in Montreal, Quebec

The Opportunity:

The Coordinator, Ethics and Compliance Program is responsible for the coordination and support in the management of WSP Canada’s Ethics and Compliance (E&C) program. This includes the coordination of various initiatives, the monitoring and tracking of key E&C controls and providing support to the E&C team with any other relevant tasks. The Coordinator will report to the Manager, Ethics and Compliance, for WSP Canada. This is an entry position into the Ethics and Compliance world.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Support the management and monitoring of the regional E&C program.

  • Support the development, implementation and coordination of the Canadian E&C Ambassadors Network.

  • Coordinate the drafting and update of corporate E&C policies to ensure they are properly communicated and respected.

  • Support the management (including continuous improvement) of regional governance processes, policies and systems.

  • Manage the review and follow-up of employee’s disclosures of gifts, entertainment and hospitality and conflicts of interest to ensure compliance with internal policies and standards.

  • Support the monitoring of key controls of the ethics and compliance program. This includes: (i) maintaining key metrics, and (ii) monitoring compliance with E&C procedures and processes.

  • Develop and implement process for the review of third-party due diligence questionnaires.

  • Support activities relating to the monitoring and reporting due diligence activities.

  • Review, edit and lead the creation of high quality technical and professional deliverables, program documents and reports.

  • Manage internal regional Ethics and Compliance webpages.

  • Other duties, relevant to the position, may be assigned as required.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Project Management, Communications, Accounting, etc.).

  • 1-2 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Demonstrated sound judgment, tact, and decision-making ability.

  • Verbal and written communications skills to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner to different audiences.

  • Organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle fast-paced multitasking environment with time-sensitive workloads.

  • Technological skills are an asset.

  • The ability to create and maintain records (incl. writing of reports and classification of documents) is an asset.

  • Ability to optimize and find efficient methods to continuously improve the research and reporting procedures.

  • Excellent knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written,
