  • An aspiring vibration specialist who wants to work on Ireland’s most exciting new projects in a friendly team of engineers in our Naas office.

  • Your role will involve undertaking vibration assessments for developments throughout Ireland, undertaking noise and vibration surveys, numerical modelling, writing technical reports and liaising with clients and other industry professionals.

  • You will have the opportunity to lead medium-scale projects including ownership of the finances and client care, assist on larger schemes, and work collaboratively with others in the WSP acoustics team.

YOUR TEAM

WSP has a large, highly experienced and professional Acoustics team who get involved with a diverse range of interesting projects across a number of sectors in Ireland and UK for both private and public sector clients. From skyscrapers (The Shard and 22 Bishopsgate) to primary schools (The Livity School, Streatham Hill), or from major infrastructure hubs (HS2, Crossrail) to the refurbishment of a new Hospital in Marylebone (Optegra Eye Hospital) – we work on a wide range of projects in multiple sectors. The team pride themselves on the integrated support offered by working alongside our in-house environmental and sustainability specialists, as well as our structural and mechanical engineers, to deliver commercially balanced, innovative and integrated solutions.

We are looking to appoint a new vibration specialist into our Naas office to support project delivery in 2024 with a particular focus supporting eth Metrolink Project. Our team is large (with over 40 acousticians in the UK) but also incredibly friendly and supportive.

  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification

  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking vibration surveys and assessments

  • An enthusiastic, energetic outlook and willingness to learn

  • Experience with numerical modelling

  • A social and team spirited attitude

  • An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
