WSP USA Aquatic Sciences Data Analyst in San Diego, California

This Opportunity

WSP is initiating a search for an Aquatic Toxicology Data Analyst to join our team in our San Diego, CA office. The ideal candidate will have recent experience supporting regulatory compliance programs in the aquatic environment and/or experience working in an environmental laboratory setting. Knowledge and experience in data analysis and QA/QC will be central to the role. Database experience using MS Excel, the ability to follow strict QA/QC procedures and strong attention to detail is required. Knowledge of statistical procedures, sample collection techniques; analytical chemistry, and good writing skills are desired.

Your Impact

  • Support a variety of tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

  • Preparing data summaries, data analysis, data entry, QA/QC.

  • Assisting in the preparation of study reports.

  • Participating in field efforts (10-20% of time collecting stormwater, sediment and/or tissues or measuring water quality). Small boat handling and trailering skills are a plus.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience working within a team in an environmental laboratory setting

  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis and QA/QC procedures

  • Experience with MS Excel

  • Strong attention to detail
