This Opportunity
WSP is seeking a CEI Inspector Aide to join our Arcadia, FL location.
Your Impact
- Responsible for receiving general supervision from Senior Inspectors or Inspectors and assisting them in the performance of their duties on roadway construction projects.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma.
0-2 years of related experience
General awareness of construction inspection principles, field inspection practices, process, methods and techniques.
General awareness of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a technical and non-technical audience.
Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies.
Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Valid Drivers License
FDOT Intermediate MOT - Must obtain within the first six months of the assignment.
Must have the following QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS within two (2) years to meet the CEI Inspector qualification requirements:
CTQP Final Estimates Level I
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
Nuclear Radiation Safety
Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
