WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Baltimore office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist more experienced staff in broad related activities including the preparation of criteria documents, drawings and specifications for mechanical systems

  • Assist with project research, analyze project data and perform calculations and assist in field visits to confirm existing field conditions

  • Prepare materials for presentations or client meetings

  • Perform routine functions involved in document research and field investigations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current standing as a Rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, or related Undergraduate or Graduate program

  • Demonstrated some experience in Mechanical or related field and have a strong desire to advance skills related in transportation and other related projects

  • Knowledge of basic mechanical theories and principles

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AutoCADD and Microstation
