  • Managing and delivering climate risk and resilience projects for clients in sectors such as government, infrastructure and utility, private developers and real estate asset managers, investors/private equity firms and banks.

  • Carrying out TCFD gap analysis, physical and transition climate risk assessments and prepare TCFD reports for clients with large portfolios.

  • Providing clients with advice on how to integrate climate risk management and adaptation planning into their organisations and projects.

  • Leading on business development activities and preparing winning bids to help grow our climate risk and resilience business within the UK and internationally.

YOUR TEAM

Our team collaborates with others within the UK and internationally, to develop knowledge and provide excellent service to clients.

This team works to:

  • Provide practical and feasible adaptation and resilience solutions and strategies and advice to clients on how to integrate climate risk and resilience into decision making.

  • Work on integrating climate into sustainability strategies, and corporate EHS and CR programmes.

  • Develop approaches and reporting in TCFD.

  • Provide interface with climate mitigation, i.e., GHG emission reduction programmes.

  • Author, lead and/or review specialist chapters in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and international ESIA.

  • Develop CRVAs for international projects and post-EIA environment and social/environmental due diligence.

Some of our team’s recent project commissions include:

  • Developing climate risk assessments and adaptation plans for major infrastructure organisations such as Highways England and Network Rail, reporting the plans to Defra.

  • Helping Local Authorities to identify and understand their climate related risks and undertake stakeholder engagement to inform the risk assessments and direct the adaptation planning.

  • Conducting gap analyses, physical and transition risk assessments and reporting for clients’ alignment to TCFD recommendations.

  • Climate Risk Review for a major Port expansion in Europe as a requirement of EBRD funding.

  • Relevant professional experience, preferably some of which is in consulting or advisory, providing climate related services.

  • Experience in undertaking / leading climate risk assessments for organisations or assets.

  • A demonstrable understanding of the TCFD recommendations and mandatory requirements, including the governance, strategy, risk management and metrics & targets pillars.

  • Strong written/oral communication skills to explain climate risks, impacts, solutions and make recommendations to clients, stakeholders and colleagues.

  • Proven ability to interface with technical specialists and synthesize their knowledge and understanding to provide solutions to clients.

  • Bid and project management experience for public and private clients.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills, confident in a client-facing role.
