WSP USA Intermediate Professional, Strategic Pursuit Coordinator in Edmonton, Alberta

The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking a Strategic Pursuits Coordinator for our Transportation & Infrastructure

business line. Working within our Strategic Pursuits and Alternative Project Delivery group (SP+APD) this position will provide direct support and assistance to our major project teams and the SP+APD

leadership team. The coordinator supports the strategic planning and execution of project activities.

As a member of the Transportation & Infrastructure business line, you will be given opportunities to

apply your skills and experience on some of WSP’s largest and most complex projects across a wide

variety of sectors (including highway & roads, rail & transit, water & water, and ports & marine). You

will be challenged to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and provide high quality support.

What you can expect do here:

  • Work directly with multidisciplinary teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Planners,Designers, Analysts, sub-consultants, and other staff as required

  • Review proposed project agreements and support the identification of scope and requireddeliverables for WSP and partnering subconsultants

  • Support the development and approval process for as-sold budgets and work breakdownstructures used to manage and track commercial performance during project execution

  • Coordinating with in-house insurance teams for the procurement and approval of project-specific insurance policies and other insurance coverage required by contract

  • Develop and execute management plans and in-house scope summaries with project designdisciplines

  • Support change management processes during project execution, including proactivelyidentifying deviations from agreed-to scope, developing change narratives and justification, assessing and quantifying schedule and cost impacts, compiling final change packages, and maintenance of project change logs

  • Organize billing drafts, compiling monthly invoices, and following up for approval andpayment, managing sub-consultant receivables

  • Maintaining organized and up to date records of project information

  • Coordinate project-close out processes including subconsultant vendor evaluations, lessonslearned documentation, and obtaining necessary waivers and release from clients

  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • 2-3 years of relevant project and/or proposal coordination experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree (project management, constructionmanagement, engineering, finance, or relevant field) is an asset

  • Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage project deadline pressure,ambiguity, and set personal priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, as the role requires continuous interaction with team members,project leadership, and external clients/stakeholders

  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, including report and contract writing,editing, and proofreading abilities

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • CAPM / PMP or similar designation is an asset

  • Previous relevant experience in engineering consulting or construction is an asset • Knowledge of ProjectWise and/or SharePoint document management is an asset
