WSP USA Construction Materials Laboratory Technician in Elko, Nevada

This Opportunity

We are seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician to join our team in Elko, NV. This is an entry level position to support construction materials testing for mining, transportation and commercial/industrial construction projects. This individual may also work in the field as needed.

Your Impact

  • Will perform soil, concrete, asphalt and geosynthetic liner material testing.

  • Operate standard construction materials laboratory testing equipment.

  • Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy of test data.

  • Data input for report preparation and submittal to clients.

  • May work in the field as needed doing soil sampling and testing

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Current valid driver’s license

  • Proficient in basic mathematics with good writing skills

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. Will routinely lift and carry materials and equipment.

  • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to prepare reports and documentation.

  • Ability to read & interpret plans & specifications.

  • Become concrete certified by ACI

  • Nuclear density testing

  • MSHA certification
