Leach Wallace Associates, / Member of WSP is currently initiating a search for a Assistant Commissiong Agent for our Elkridge, MD location .
You will work with a team of commissioning technical experts that perform activities to validate construction, integrity, and confirm operability of facilities in terms of performance, reliability, safety and security. Our experts contribute to the configuration of facilities in their planning stage, participate in optimization studies in the design phase , witness equipment and system functional testing during construction phase and develop readiness plans and training to achieve transition from the construction phase to full operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
As an Assistant Consultant, Commissioning Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and retro commissioning of building systems including HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, plumbing, and automation.
Develop commissioning plan incorporating construction phases
Schedule commissioning process activities
Conduct energy auditing actions
Perform site visits to conduct functional performance testing and validate equipment
Coordinate for close out, including testing and balancing, controls, start up and commissioning
Prepare and submit reports.
Create and maintain document logs of control, functionality verification , equipment testing and creating of checklists/ punch lists
Conduct commissioning activities for code compliance
Attend team and/or project meetings and interface with internal specialty groups
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Other duties as required by business needs
Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent (or other engineering discipline)
0-1 year of experience
Knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Attention to detail and highly organizedSelf-starter, able to work independently as well as multi-taskExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Working Conditions and/or Physical Demands
Occasional travel (<40%) to client or project sites as needed
