WSP USA P5-Legal and Risk Management-Contract Management in Ephrata, Pennsylvania

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Contract Manager. This role will be part of WSP’s in-house legal and compliance team supporting the East Region. This role reports to an office in the East Region. As a team member, you will have opportunity to experience a wide range of practices supporting the organization’s legal and compliance needs as the organization continues to grow. Working closely with the East Region project management teams, the Contract Manager will prepare and facilitate review, approval, and execution of various types of agreements including client contracts.

Your impact

  • Read and review client contracts, identify major contract requirements, responsible parties, work scope, and take action or incorporate as needed in draft agreements, teaming agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documents.

  • Work with stakeholders across the East Region to collect and verify accurate project information to ensure timely submission of legal review.

  • Escalate issues to appropriate business leaders and Region Counsel on contract term risk.

  • Work closely with internal legal staff for both front and back end legal review management, including but not limited to legal review staff, compliance and insurance/risk.

  • Primary manager of contract data sources to maintain historic legal agreements and assess alignment in variations of contractual terms.

  • Support claims managed within the Region.

  • Support Region Counsel with legal training and development for project team members.

  • Help identify need for process and practice improvements to meet evolving business requirements.

Who you are

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, or Law.

  • 7+ years experience in drafting, editing, contracts, preferably in the engineering, infrastructure, or commercial construction sectors.

  • Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Professional Project Manager, or Paralegal certification is a plus.

  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Acrobat Pro, and generally the MS Office Suite.

  • Working knowledge of commercial, federal, state, and local government contracting and practices, including for public infrastructure projects.

  • Working knowledge of CPFF, T&M, FFP compensation types.

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work with virtual team members in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Possess ability to quickly learn new systems with anticipation of onboarding new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and help train end users on the contract lifecycle management (CLM) piece.

  • Excellent and efficient problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills – must be able to coordinate between multiple departments and project teams.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through completion.
