WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager for our Fresno or Sacramento, CA office. Ocassional remote working is possible for this position as coordinated by local management.
The California High-Speed Rail program is the first ever high-speed rail system in the U.S. It will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2033, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage delivery of projects utilizing the Authority’s project management processes and tools with a focus on design-build issue resolution, contract issue resolution, claim resolution, right of way, and third parties.
Development, continual improvement and implementation of: strategies, policies and procedures, systems and tools, to support project delivery.
Responsible for land acquisation. field engineering, contract administration, and quality control.
Support Project Director in special tasks and studies.

8+ years of related experience in a Project Manager role.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely-related field.
Solid contract management skills with excellent stakeholder management capability.
Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Good commuication skills
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Infrastructure construction management experience.
Experience in managing contracts.
Design Build experience.
Land Acquisation experience woud be an advantage
Ability to effectively work within a remote work environment as-needed
