WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil / Water Resources Engineer for our Knoxville, Tennessee office with experience in the design of hydraulics, drainage systems and stormwater management and erosion control for transportation projects.

Under some supervision, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks:

  • Exposure to Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of Staff-level Engineers.

  • Work as part of a design team to continually seek to identify and implement improved technical solutions throughout final design.

  • Quality assurance/quality control, ensuring that cost, schedule and quality objectives are met for transportation engineering activities.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in highway drainage design and plan production.

  • Experience in hydrology & hydraulic analysis, design of flood control/ storm-water management facilities, drainage and erosion control design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Affiliation with professional societies is highly desirable

  • EIT

  • Experience on Transportation Projects for both TDOT and Local Municipalities in Tennessee

  • Experience in MicroStation and stormwater design tools such as FlowMaster, Storm CAD, Hydro CAD and HEC-RAS.
