WSP USA Construction Inspector in Merrimack, New Hampshire

This Opportunity

WSP is currently seeking a Construction Inspector to help oversee replacement water main and roadway rehabilitation projects in southern, central New Hampshire. The work will include copper service work to residences, with meter installation and activation.

The inspector will oversee excavation, pipe and appurtenance installation, bedding, backfilling, compaction and paving, and other related roadway reconstruction activities. The inspector will report to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will possess construction inspection and documentation experience.

Your Impact

  • Monitor and inspect construction activities.

  • Complete daily inspector reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities.

  • Monitor maintenance of traffic.

  • Take and compile photographs, for tracking of daily progress.

  • Perform and record swing-tie field measurements, for appurtenances and update red-line drawings.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior construction inspection experience.-Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Environmental Technology or Construction Management, or related field.

  • Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite.

  • Any combination of college education, professional licenses, certifications and experience will be considered
