WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Fisheries Biologist for our Needham, MA office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Senior technical expert for instream flow issues
Review of adeqaucy of related studies to support NEPA analysis
Drafting NEPA analysis pertaining to instream flow for EIS on relicensing hydroelectric projects
Reviewing NEPA analysis related to other issues
Preparing developmental analysis text to support balancing calls regarding instream flow issues in the EIS

Minimum of 10 years of experience addressing instream flow issues and hydropower impact analysis
Master's Degree in environmental sciences or related field
Understanding of FERC hydropower licensing regulations and procedures and compliance with NEPA, Clean Water Act and Endangered Species Act
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Strong technical writing skills
Responsive team player with ability to work independently from home
Proficiency using Word and Excel
