Position Overview: The Digital Design Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and managing our internal technologies, including BIM, structural analysis software, custom software tools, and 3D graphics software. The role also includes maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless integration and operation of these technologies. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical expertise in AEC software tools and IT infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordination of Internal Technologies:

  2. Oversee and coordinate the use of BIM, structural analysis software, custom software tools, and 3D graphics software within the company.

  3. Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of various software tools to optimize project workflows.

  4. Provide technical support and training to team members on the use of these technologies.

  5. Develop and implement best practices for the use of digital design tools across the organization.

  6. IT Infrastructure Maintenance:

  7. Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.

  8. Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems, and perform regular updates and maintenance.

  9. Implement and monitor security measures to protect company data and systems.

  10. Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  11. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  12. Provide technical support for all internal technologies, addressing issues related to BIM, structural analysis software, custom software tools, and 3D graphics software.

  13. Assist with the setup, calibration, and maintenance of specialized equipment used in project execution.

  14. Develop and maintain technical documentation for software tools and IT infrastructure.

  15. Project Involvement and Technical Assistance:

  16. Collaborate with engineering and project teams to provide technical insights and support for project planning and execution.

  17. Participate in the development and customization of software tools to meet specific project needs.

  18. Support the integration of digital design technologies into project workflows, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the AEC industry, with a focus on digital design technologies and IT infrastructure management.

  • Proficiency with BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks), structural analysis tools, and 3D graphics software.

  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, including servers, networks, and workstations.

  • Experience with custom software tools and their integration within an AEC environment is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Relevant certifications in IT or AEC software tools are a plus (e.g., Autodesk, Microsoft, Cisco).
