WSP USA Inspector in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Pittsburgh, PA office.

Your Impact

  • Provides field measurements and reports for payment quantities and changes in the work

  • Reads and interprets drawings, specifications, and standards

  • Inspects various facets of work on the construction site for compliance with plans, specifications, and appropriate standards

  • Observes general job safety practices and enforces contractor's safety plan

  • Comply with client policies and procedures for inspection of work under contract

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate

  • Seven years experience or bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field

  • Makes contract payments for review and approval

  • Experience with PennDOT, Allegheny County, and/or Port Authority of Allegheny County preferred

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NICET certification or BS in Civil Engineering or related field

  • NECEPT Bituminous and/or NECEPT Concrete Field Technician certifications

  • PennDOT field office documentation experience#LI-DS1
