WSP USA Plan Reviewer in Pompano Beach, Florida

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Plan Reviewer for our Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) Pompano Beach, Florida office. Be involved in projects with our PM/CM Team and be a part of an innovative and exciting organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

Job Duties:

  • Responsibility for project leadership, teambuilding, interface and collaboration with stakeholders, and ultimately accountability for project success

  • Conduct constructability reviews of project plans and specifications to confirm the technical disciplines are coordinated, the work is coordinated with existing conditions, and the work can be implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Perform phase reviews of design drawings including traffic control and public impacts, specification and special provision interpretation and recommendations, incentive/disincentive criteria; and participate in pre-bid meetings when required

  • Generate the project time for completion based on the scope of work, supply of specified materials and equipment, and conditions for construction

  • Interact and coordinate with other FTE staff (Construction, Maintenance, Design, Traffic Operations and PIO) for feedback, concurrence, adjacent project coordination or other pertinent issues affecting customer service

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by program needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in major road / bridge construction as well as experience in project management

  • Qualifications include the ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)

  • Review programs for conformance with Florida Department of Transportation standards.

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
