WSP is currently initiating a search for an Architectural Historian for our Worcester, MA office. The following locations will also be considered: Sacramento, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Tempe, AZ; Chicago, IL; Richmond, VA; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA . Be involved in projects with our Heritage Resource Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Determinations of eligibility for historic structures and districts
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Graduate degree in historic preservation, architectural history, architecture or a related discipline
3 - 5 years of professional experience working in historic preservation or a related field
Prior experience working in tandem with federal and state agencies including direct experience working with the SHPO offices
Excellent demonstrated professional research and writing skills and experience
Experience preparing National Register nominations, Historic Structure Reports, Historic Contexts, and architectural surveys
Must be a self-starter and be able to work cooperatively within a context of Heritage Resources professionals with diverse skills
Ability to travel to project sites
