WSP USA Corporate Project Operations Analyst in Toronto, Ontario

The Opportunity:

The Corporate Project Operations Analyst is a pivotal member of the National Project Management Office (PMO) at WSP Canada. This role is critical to the continual improvement of our Project Delivery – and will provide ample opportunity for the successful candidate to build relationships with various corporate and operational functions, while expanding their skills and understanding of the enterprise. This role is not only responsible for providing analytical and reporting support to project teams across the organization, but it also plays a crucial role in developing standard project delivery frameworks to deliver consistent and efficient results within all our sectors to our external customers.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Provide analytical support to project teams, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Enhance project processes to streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and optimize resource allocation.

  • Assess impacts of new initiatives or proposed changes on existing project management processes and tools, providing insights on potential effects on project outcomes. Evaluate how these changes may affect project outcomes and overall organizational performance.

  • Develop and maintain user training documentation

  • Identifying areas for improvement within project management practices and contributing to refining processes, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Oversee project progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

  • Monitor and report on portfolio and project performance, identify trends, issues and risks, and report these to relevant stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process and ensure alignment with WSP’s overall strategies.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or operations analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).

  • Strong process mapping documentation skills

  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) and/or Business Analyst Certification or equivalent certification or experience is an asset.

  • Experience working in a consulting engineering or construction environment is an asset.

  • Written and verbal communication skills in French is an asset
