WSP is currently initiating a search for a CADD Specialist for our Ft. Meade/Washington DC office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain existing CADD files for As-built Record Files.
Work with engineers and interior designers to develop CADD files for building renovations and updates.
Assist with the organization, development, and maintenance of CADD standards for the organization.
Become integral member of client project management and space management team.
Work with CAFM/IWMS implementation team to ensure thier facility drawings are up to date and formatted for the system.
May lead tasks for technical assignments on projects
Assists in developing schedules and objectives for the work of staff
Pursues diversified knowledge of technical principles and practices
Proactively identifies task and technical issues and takes actions to mitigate risk

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
9+ years of experience producing computer drafted construction documents supporting Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical design efforts
Associate degree in Drafting, Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Technology from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience or accreditation.
Due to client requirements, an active Secret Government Clearance is required
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills required includes codes and design requirements specific to local geographic market
Knowledge of AIA CADD Standards and National CADD Standard
Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
Willingness to perform field work as necessary; visit job sites to assist in building, furniture, or system surveys
